The short version
- Genshin Impact version 7.2 is called "Hour of Ruin."
- It goes live on November 4.
- Mitya and Valeriy are the new characters joining the roster.
Genshin Impact's next update has a name and a date. Version 7.2, dubbed "Hour of Ruin," launches on November 4.
That's under two weeks out, so if you've been sitting on Primogems, now's the time to start thinking about where they're going.
The update introduces two new characters, Mitya and Valeriy. Neither name has come with much else attached yet: there's no word on their elements, weapons or kits, so it's too early to plan a team around either of them.
"Hour of Ruin" is a pretty ominous title for a patch, and it hints that something heavy might be coming in the story. What that something is hasn't been spelled out, though.
Details on banners, events and any new areas haven't been laid out either. Version updates usually bring a mix of all three, but until HoYoverse shares the full rundown, Mitya, Valeriy and the November 4 date are what's on the table.
What we don’t know yet
- Mitya and Valeriy's elements, weapons and abilities haven't been detailed.
- It isn't known which banners or events will run in version 7.2.
- What story content "Hour of Ruin" refers to hasn't been explained.
