Cult of the Lamb – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is out now. Publisher Devolver Digital and developer Massive Monster released it on October 22, 2026.

If you already have the original on Switch, there's a free upgrade path to the Switch 2 version, according to Nintendo Life. That's the part most existing flock-tenders will care about.

The game hasn't sat still since it first landed on Switch. It's kept picking up updates over time, and the new edition gives it a home on Nintendo's newer hardware.

The pitch is the same as ever: you start your own cult and build up a loyal following.

Massive Monster hasn't detailed what's different in the Switch 2 Edition compared to the original release, and the upgrade's exact requirements weren't spelled out either. Check the eShop listing before you buy if you're unsure which version you need.
