Worst Class Ever cracks Steam Next Fest's 20 most-played demos

Worst Class Ever is one of the most-played demos at Steam Next Fest. Valve has put out a list of the event's 20 most-played demos so far, and the game made the cut.

Polygon singled it out in its headline, describing the list as featuring troublemaking students and farting hippos. That puts Worst Class Ever in the same breath as Fart Together, another co-op game near the top of the pile.

According to Polygon, co-op games are a big part of what's drawing players this time around, with Worst Class Ever and Fart Together among the festival's most popular titles.

IGN describes the full top 20 as quite the eclectic mix, running from comedic co-op adventures to more mechanically deep action and survival games. Emberville and ArcheAge Chronicles also show up on the list.

Details on Worst Class Ever itself are thin beyond the classroom-chaos premise Polygon pointed to. Neither outlet laid out how it plays, and there's no word on a release date.

If a class full of troublemakers sounds like your kind of co-op night, don't wait long. This edition of Steam Next Fest runs through the weekend and ends Monday, October 26 at 10am PT/1pm ET, and demos from the event aren't promised to stick around afterward.
