The short version

Queen's Domain is out now. The retro-fantasy action RPG launched on Xbox Series X|S and PS5, and it strands you alone on a monster-infested island.
Xbox Wire describes a "twisting, secretive world" where you'll need wits as well as strength to survive. Developer Future Friends put together a set of beginner tips for the launch, which tells you something about the difficulty.
Push Square says the game is inspired by King's Field, the series FromSoftware made before Demon's Souls. That's a deep cut, and it's a pretty specific promise: a tough adventure built around combat and exploration, wrapped in retro visuals.
The setup is simple. You travel to the island where your father disappeared, and things go from there. The island's name is spelled Neasied by Xbox Wire and Naesied by Push Square, so we'll let the game settle that one.
On PS5, it costs £17.75 / $19.99. Xbox pricing wasn't listed in the launch post.
Push Square's writer said the game "has really caught my eye" among the flood of indie releases every week. If first-person dungeon crawling from the pre-Souls era is your thing, this one's worth a look.
What we don’t know yet
- Xbox pricing hasn't been shared in the launch announcement.
- No PC version has been mentioned.
- The exact spelling of the island's name differs between sources.
