World of Warcraft Forever launches worldwide at once on November 4
Preloading is live on Battle.net now, and the global launch means some regions will be logging in on November 5.
The short version
- WoW Forever goes live at 3pm PST on November 4, everywhere at the same moment.
- Asia and Australia get it the morning of November 5 local time.
- You can preload right now through the Battle.net launcher.
World of Warcraft Forever launches on November 4, and Blizzard has confirmed it's a global release. Everyone gets in at the same time, no matter where they live.
That matters in an MMO. A simultaneous launch means no region gets a head start racing to the level cap.
The official time is 3pm PST. Convert that to your own timezone, and depending on where you are, that lands on either November 4 or November 5.
Here's how it breaks down: Los Angeles at 3pm PST, Mexico City at 5pm CST, New York at 6pm, Brazil at 8pm BRT and London at 11pm GMT, all on November 4.
Over in Asia and Australia, it's a breakfast launch on November 5. Beijing gets it at 7am CST, Seoul at 8am KST, Tokyo at 8am JST and Melbourne at 10:00am AEST.
Preloading is available now. Open or download the Battle.net launcher, and WoW Forever should appear in the Favorites bar by default.
If it isn't there, go to Games and search for World of Warcraft. Click the WoW icon, make sure WoW Forever is selected under game version, then hit the blue Install button.
Once the download finishes, you're set to log in as soon as the servers open.
What we don’t know yet
- Blizzard hasn't shared the download size for the preload.
- There's no word on server queues or capacity plans for launch.
