Cyberpunk 2077 gets a mystery PS5 patch as Switch 2 players report 2.5 problems
The big Edgerunners 2 update brought dual-wielding and console mods, and now a 1.2GB follow-up has landed on PS5 with no patch notes.

Cyberpunk 2077 has another patch on PS5, and nobody's said what it does yet. Push Square spotted version 2.500.200, a 1.2GB download, with no official patch notes attached.
It arrives just five days after Update 2.5, the Edgerunners 2 update that dropped a pile of new content into Night City.
That update was a big one. It adds a new quest that works as a prequel to Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2 on Netflix, mod support on consoles, dual-wielding for pistols and revolvers, a guided City Tours feature, new clothing sets and a new radio station.
Akimbo revolvers in Night City is exactly the kind of thing you'd want to try first.
CD Projekt Red's associate game director Paweł Sasko explained the thinking in a blog post. "That is ultimately why we are updating Cyberpunk 2077 again," he said. "This world keeps giving us reasons to return to it." He described the goal as making Night City "richer, more coherent, and more believable, for our players."
Rough start on Switch 2
The 2.5 update is live on Switch 2 too, but Nintendo Life reports it hasn't gone smoothly there. Players are reporting game crashes, loading bugs, performance issues, and profile and save glitches.
According to Nintendo Life, some players are even calling the Nintendo version "unplayable" after 2.5.
CD Projekt Red hasn't said whether the new PS5 patch addresses any 2.5 issues, or when a fix for the Switch 2 problems might arrive. If you're on Switch 2 and worried about your save, it might be worth holding off on long sessions until there's word.
