The short version

  1. Rockstar's GTA 6 score by Justice releases December 11.
  2. Preorders are open for a triple vinyl and a double CD.
  3. One brand new track is out now, with more to come at launch.

Grand Theft Auto VI is getting a full original score from Justice, and Rockstar Games says it releases December 11 across all major music streaming services, plus double CD and triple vinyl.

That's nearly a month after GTA 6 itself comes out, so you'll be hearing this music in-game before you can spin it at home.

The score runs about three hours. The physical editions include 30 tracks plus "a number of digital bonus tracks," including "Flower in a Hurricane" and "Pusher."

"Flower in a Hurricane" features Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, which is a wild lineup for a single track. A brand new track is also available to listen to right now.

Insider Gaming spotted the album on Apple Music, where it says the track list shows 50 songs. That doesn't line up with the 30-track count for the physical release, though the digital bonus tracks may account for some of the gap.

Preorders are open now. The vinyl is a 3LP set with a UV gloss finish, in black at Amazon or a limited-edition clear vinyl from Justice's own storefront. The two-disc CD comes in a fold-out case with GTA 6 imagery, priced at $19.98 at Amazon and $19.00 from Justice.

Don't mix it up with Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, a separate release of original songs by a variety of musicians. The Original Score is primarily Justice's work, sitting alongside all the licensed music you'll hear in the game.

What we don’t know yet

  • The exact final track count for the digital release hasn't been confirmed by Rockstar.
  • Vinyl pricing wasn't listed alongside the CD prices.
  • Rockstar hasn't detailed what the digital bonus tracks are.
