The short version

  1. Nara Studio's creature collector has its first official gameplay and cinematic trailer.
  2. The Kickstarter raised over €900,000 and hit every stretch goal.
  3. Switch 2 and PS5 ports are locked in, and you can wishlist it on Steam now.

Wonderful Neoran Valley has its first proper trailer. Nara Studio's upcoming creature collector put out a gameplay and cinematic trailer called 'Welcome to the Valley' this week.

It's the game's first official look at gameplay, and it follows a Kickstarter campaign that went very well indeed.

The campaign raised over €900,000 and cleared all of its stretch goals. That money secured professional voice acting, which is a nice upgrade for a game that Gematsu describes as a narrative-driven roguelite.

It also locked in ports for Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5. If you'd rather play on PC, the game is now available to wishlist on Steam.

The Steam listing pitches it as a PvE creature collector, so this one's about building up your roster against the world rather than battling other players. Pairing monster collecting with roguelite runs is a combo that could keep things fresh from run to run, though Nara Studio hasn't laid out how the two systems fit together yet.

There's no release date or price attached to the reveal, and the studio hasn't said when the console versions will land relative to PC.

What we don’t know yet

  • Nara Studio hasn't announced a release date.
  • Pricing hasn't been shared.
  • It isn't known whether the Switch 2 and PS5 versions will launch alongside PC.
  • The studio hasn't detailed how the roguelite structure and creature collecting work together.
